Jasmine Healy-Pagán
A former competitive swimmer, high school teacher and fitness trainer, Jasmine was first drawn to yoga while living in New York City in the 1990s.
After many years of yoga practice, and the birth of her second daughter, Jasmine’s desire to deepen her yoga understanding began in 2005 when she completed her first yoga teacher training in Boston and then commenced study with Shiva Rea to certify as a Prana Vinyasa teacher in 2012. Jasmine embraces many styles of yoga and believes that a broader understanding of yoga teachings offers us alternate ways to tune into our needs as our lives change. Jasmine’s ongoing yoga study and experience extends to sharing yoga with children and teens since 2005 with a special interest in trauma sensitive and MBSR programs for youth.
Jasmine is known for her passion, enthusiasm and commitment to helping people lead radiant lives and created Sundalah CommUNITY in 2008 to help locals build positive connections and discover the abundance of wellness options available in the Townsville region. Through deeper awareness, Jasmine shares how meaning and service brings happiness and fulfilment.
Jasmine’s love for community and positive change is why she coordinated more than 25 large community events since 2008. These events donated $30,000 to local not-for-profit organisations like Yoga Tools For Schools Inc. which provides wellbeing programs for all ages and professional development trainings to those working in educational settings. Jasmine also teaches a FREE Youth Program call R.E.S.E.T which is offered at various locations around Townsville.
