Five Day Intensive
Held twice a year, July and December, and open to all practicing students. The Intensive is designed to consolidate the teachings from the weekly classes and monthly workshops into a daily practice which includes asana, pranayama and meditation. Students will be led each day through a sequence of poses with key points highlighted for each asana. This is an excellent method to develop a self- practice and experience the overall health benefits of yoga when practiced regularly.

Cost: $100 prepaid or $25 per day
Remedial 4 Week Course
Suitable for people suffering from a health condition, whether they are a beginner or experienced. Yoga is a uniquely effective method of alleviating pain and restoring natural movements of joints and muscle as well as enhancing the body’s intrinsic healing power. In short, it has the ability to restructure the anatomical body, nourish the physiological body and sooth the nervous system. Some examples of health conditions include backache, arthritis, hypertension, depression, anxiety, muscular skeletal injury, PMS, digestive problems, pregnancy to name a few.
The wide variety of postures taught offers training capable of creating a strong vigorous body, well- functioning internal organs and an alert mind. The different poses affect the body and mind in a variety of ways. For example the standing poses build strength, forward bends calm and soothe the nervous system, inversions are balancing and restorative and improve concentration, twists improve digestion relieve stiffness in the neck and shoulders, whereas backbends combat depression and are energising. It is the alignment in the poses that give stability and freedom with the basic purpose of harmonising all aspects of the self – body, mind and spirit.
In an initial consultation, students are provided with a suitable program for their condition and follow this under supervision in the remedial class. The program is developed over time as health improves.
