A former competitive swimmer, high school teacher and fitness trainer, Jasmine was first drawn to yoga while living in New York City in the 1990s.
After many years of yoga practice, and the birth of her second daughter, Jasmine's desire to deepen her yoga understanding began in 2005 when she completed her first yoga teacher training near Boston USA. Jasmine has been studying with Shiva Rea since 2007 and completed her Prana Vinyasa teacher certification in 2012. Jasmine embraces many styles of yoga and believes that a broader understanding of yoga teachings offers us alternate ways to tune into our needs as our lives change.
Since returning to her native Australia in 2006, Jasmine has been a full time yoga teacher to all ages and also shares her Kids Yoga Club at YogaHealth on Thursdays 3:45-5pm and Teen Yoga classes on Mondays from 4pm-5:15pm. Jasmine's adult classes are a fluid blend of asana technique, movement meditation and the living principles of yoga. Jasmine teaches in a variety of settings including schools and at festivals and also writes and facilitates wellbeing programs for the Not-For-Profit organisation Yoga Tools For Schools Inc. www.yogatoolsforschools.com.au.
Jasmine's passion for community saw her create a non-competitive platform called Sundalah to support, yoga teachers, yoga studios and health professionals who strive to help more people find self study options that serve and support individual needs. Sundalah is a collective hub of positive people coming together at a variety of annual events like World Yoga Day (June), Sundalah Sunday (August), and International Peace Day (September).
