Private sessions are ideal for people who wish to fine tune their practice or suffering a health condition or physical limitation that prevents them from joining a regular yoga class. This may include but not limited to recovery from injury, joint pain, arthritis, hypertension, digestive aliments, anxiety, depression, backache, pregnancy, stiff neck and shoulders.
Tracy has a wealth of knowledge of the therapeutic power of Yoga, gained from both personal experience and through teaching students over the past 20 years. Yoga is a uniquely effective method of restoring balance and enhancing the body’s intrinsic healing energies. It has the ability to restructure the anatomical body, nourish the physiological body and sooth the nervous system.
The wide variety of postures taught offers training capable of creating a strong vigorous body, well-functioning internal organs and an alert mind. The different poses affect the body and mind in a variety of ways. For example the standing poses build strength, forward bends calm and soothe the nervous system, inversions are balancing and restorative and improve concentration, twists improve digestion relieve stiffness in the neck and shoulders, whereas backbends combat depression and are energising. It is the alignment in the poses that give stability and freedom with the basic purpose of harmonising all aspects of the self – body, mind and spirit.
